I am proud to be a Warrior! I have ten years of experience as a Staff Writer and five years of experience as a Communications Director. Those jobs allowed me to hone the skill of writing and taught me the importance of effective communication. That transferred to the classroom and has made me an understanding teacher with application experience in my degree field. I have five years of experience teaching, and I am excited to continue adding to that right here at DCHS. 

I have been married for twenty years, and my husband and I have two children, Thomas and Makayla, both teenagers. We are active in our church, school, and community, and we spend a lot of time at the beach. I am excited to continue teaching English Language Arts at the high school level. My goal as an educator is to continue creating productive learning environments that are student-centered.
