Welcome to DCHS! My name is Thomas Pitchford, and I teach Physical Education and Beginning Kinesiology. The 2025–26 school year will be my second year teaching at Dale County High School and my third year teaching overall. I am originally from Columbia, Alabama, where I became a graduate of Houston County High School. Later, I attended Auburn University, where I graduated with my bachelors and masters degrees in physical education. In addition to my teaching duties, I am excited to serve DCHS as an assistant coach for our Varsity Football team, Head Coach of our Junior Varsity Boys Basketball team, and Head Coach for our Boys Track and Field team. I am married to my amazing wife, Logan, who also serves Dale County Schools as a fifth-grade teacher and athletics coach. When I am not teaching or coaching, I enjoy watching Auburn University sports, grilling out, hunting/fishing, or anything else that involves being outdoors. This year, I look forward to another exciting year of academics and athletics filled with opportunities for growth and success! Go Warriors!
